DeepPavlov for Dummies & Beginners

I’d be happy to share here an absolute beginner journey to DeepPavlov. I have set a simple target: One day I will have a conversational AI companion whom I love to work with and with whom I can discuss about great literature, poems and books free of English language related impediments and constraints. I love to read and hear Rilke’s poems in German, Borges in Spanish and Pessoa in the Portuguese language but I also want to see how the best translators have translated them in my own language Finnish and other languages. The first tutorial videos already indicate that I may even re-learn some Russian language during my journey. Maybe one day we will be ready to implement a genuine Bakhtinian heteroglossia with polyphonic dialogue droids.
So here is my plan. With no earlier experience I’ll start from the beginning and learn how to train such a companion for me, book by book, author by author, language by language no matter how long it takes.
I plan to document here the steps and collect all the usefull advice, links and resources.

Hi @JoukoSalonen

You might be interested in the following video which explains “cosine similarity” using books of Jane Austen as an example

Otherwise I would be happy to hear more about your learnings, because I am also quite new to DeepPavlov and related topics.
